Zumba
High-energy Latin rhythms and simple choreography at our Kepong studio. No dance experience needed — just show up and move. The music does the rest.
Every Thursday and Friday evening, a group gathers at a studio in Laman Rimbunan, Kepong. They arrive as individuals and leave as friends — drenched in sweat, high on endorphins, and already counting the days until the next class.
Meet In Studio is Nicole's weekly ritual for people who believe the best exercise is the kind that doesn't feel like exercise. No mirrors to judge yourself in. No pressure to get it perfect. Just music, movement, and the kind of energy you can't manufacture.

A fusion of salsa, reggaeton, and functional training. Every move is designed with purpose — sculpt, sweat, and dance like nobody's watching.
A single hour of Zumba burns as many calories as jogging, cycling, or swimming — but feels like a party. Salsation adds functional training moves that target core, glutes, and arms simultaneously.
Every class at Meet In Studio is designed for all fitness levels. There are no mirrors facing you, no complicated routines to memorise. You follow the instructor and find your own rhythm.
Dance releases endorphins, reduces cortisol, and improves sleep quality. Studies show group dance fitness reduces anxiety and depression more effectively than solo gym workouts.
Our Thursday and Friday regulars have become genuine friends. After class, the conversations flow as freely as the sweat. This is Kepong's friendliest fitness community — no cliques, no judgement.
Zumba is a global dance fitness programme created in Colombia in the 1990s. It fuses Latin music styles — salsa, merengue, cumbia, reggaeton — with simple, repetitive dance moves that anyone can follow.
Unlike a choreography class, Zumba is designed so you never feel lost. The instructor cues every move with hand signals, and the routines repeat so your body learns naturally. By the third song, you'll forget you're exercising.
At Meet In Studio in Kepong, Nicole teaches Zumba every Thursday evening with a playlist that blends international Latin hits with K-pop and Mandopop favourites — familiar beats for our KL community.
Salsation is a newer dance fitness format created by German-Colombian instructor Alejandro Angulo. It combines urban and Latin dance styles with functional training — meaning every move is engineered to tone specific muscle groups.
Where Zumba is pure cardio joy, Salsation adds intent. Each choreography includes squats disguised as dance drops, lunges hidden in salsa steps, and core engagement woven into every hip roll. You sculpt while you dance.
Nicole's Friday Salsation class blends reggaeton, Afrobeat, and dancehall with bodyweight resistance work. It's the perfect complement to Thursday's Zumba — together, they give you a complete weekly fitness routine.

Absolutely. Most of our regulars started with zero dance experience. The moves are simple and repetitive. Nobody is watching you — everyone is too busy having fun.

A one-hour Zumba class burns between 400 and 600 calories — comparable to jogging or cycling, but far more enjoyable. Salsation burns even more due to the functional training component.
Zumba focuses on pure cardio joy — Latin rhythms with simple moves. Salsation adds functional training — every dance move is designed to tone specific muscles. Together they make a complete weekly fitness routine.
